Sixth Annual
Barbale's team claims fifth title in six years
SOUTHBRIDGE — Eight teams stepped up to the plate to take a swing at cancer and hit a home run in honor
of a couple local families on Saturday, August 28, 2010.

The sixth annual Aislen Cipro Wiffle Ball Tournament was held at the Southbridge Little League's AAA and
Major division diamonds at Henry Street Field. This year, citing positive progress in Aislen’s battle with cancer,
the Cipro family and tournament organizers agreed to donate the tournament’s proceeds to the family of
young Jacob Hooker, going through his own battle with cancer.

The tournament was a big success for those involved and had some competitive playoff games in the end.
The Barbale team of Charlton came out on top for the fifth time in the tournament’s six-year history, defeating
Blitzkrieg in an extra-inning championship game. Barbale advanced to the finals after an extra-inning victory
over a team featuring tournament organizers.
