RULE EXCEPTION: If a pitcher hits their
pitch count limit for the day during an at
bat, he/she may pitch the remainder of
that at bat.

EXAMPLES
Scenario 1: Johnny, league age 12, throws 64 pitches before he
is replaced on the mound by
Billy, league age 11, who throws 26
pitches to close out Monday's game.
Based on the required days of rest,
Johnny is not eligible to pitch
again until Saturday.
Billy would not be eligible to pitch again until
Wednesday.
Scenario 2: Thomas, league age 8, throws 44 pitches before he is
replaced on the mound by
Timmy, league age 9, who throws 36
pitches before he is replaced on the mound by
Andy, league age
10, who throws 13 pitches to close out Saturday's game.
Thomas, based on the required days of rest, is eligible to pitch on
Wednesday.
Timmy would be eligible to pitch on Tuesday. Andy
would not need any days of rest and could pitch the next day, if one
was scheduled.
Pitcher v. Catcher
A pitcher who delivers 41 or more pitches
in a game cannot play the position of
catcher for the remainder of that day.
